People magazine reported that Sheen “intends to go to court on June 7 [to] plead to a misdemeanor.”
Sheen is accused of putting a knife to the throat of Brooke Mueller Sheen while they vacationed in Aspen.
Publicist Stan Rosenfield wrote in a statement Tuesday that Sheen has voluntarily entered rehab for an unspecified reason and is seeking privacy.
The couple hugged in court, and Brooke Mueller Sheen’s attorney, Yale Galanter, said they hugged again and kissed in the basement of the 19th century Pitkin County Courthouse after the brief hearing before leaving in separate vehicles.
Police say Sheen reported the vehicle stolen early Friday morning.
